Coloriamo le Differenze è un progetto di Riqualificazione Urbana che mira a realizzare un murale e delle tele colorate nel cortile e lungo la via principale della Scuola elementare Deledda di Barriera di Milano a Torino, un luogo in cui vogliamo far esplodere il colore! 

L'idea ha preso piede dalle iniziative promosse il 25 Novembre 2012 in occasione della giornata contro la violenza sulle donne. Da li il proposito di trasformare uno spazio del quartiere in luogo simbolicamente dedicato al rispetto delle differenze e al dialogo tra i generi. I bambini della scuola per primi hanno iniziato a collaborare alla realizzazione di un murale in piccolo, disegnato in basso lungo il camminamento del muro. Sono solo i primi passi di un lavoro che poi verrà esteso alla parete più grande.  Il Comune di Torino si occuperà di effettuare il murale gratuitamente, mentre per le tele da distribuire lungo tutte le pareti esterne della scuola ce ne occuperemo noi della Rete Culturale Virginia. 

Si formerà un gruppo di artiste/i che si occuperà delle tele e collaborerà con il gruppo docenti al fine di coinvolgere i bambini in questa esperienza artistica. Vogliamo che questo lavoro sia partecipato e che sia parte della scuola. Vogliamo che questo lavoro testimoni la solidarietà e l’importanza di nuovi rapporti tra generi . Entro fine anno il gruppo artistico dovrà aver definito il progetto complessivo e a partire dal 2014 si inizieranno i lavori.

E' un'iniziativa delle Associazioni  Rete Culturale Virginia e Sapere Plurale, in collaborazione con il Circolo Didattico Ilaria Alpi di Torino.

Colour the Difference is a project under the Urban Re-qualification fund that aims to produce a mural and painted boards in the courtyard and along the main entrance of the Deledda Primary School in the inner city suburb of Barriera di Milano, in Turin. This is a place where we want to explode with colour!

The idea evolved from an initiative promoted on the 25th November 2012, on the occasion of the international day recognizing violence against women. From that event came the proposal to transform a space in this neighbourhood into a symbolic place dedicated to respect for differences and dialogue between genders. The children at the school began to first of all collaborate to paint a small mural, along the base of the wall. These were the first steps of the work that will be eventually extended to the larger wall. The Turin Council will pay for the costs of the mural, while the boards that will be placed along the external school boundaries will be paid for by us from the Cultural Network Virginia.

Groups of artists will be organised and they will paint the boards and work together with a group of teachers with the aim of involving the children in this artistic experience. We want people participating in this experience and for it to be part of the school. We also wish that this work is a testimony to solidarity and the importance of new relationships between genders.By the end of this year the artists should have defined all aspects of the project and work will start at the beginning of 2014.

This is an initiative of the Cultural Network Association Virigina and Sapereplurale, in collaboration with the the Didactic Circle Ilaria Alpi of Turin.
