"A SHIP for GAZA"                                                                                        Donations until August 30th

GAZA SOLIDARITY OPERATION/ 

In light of the dramatic humanitarian situation in the GAZA strip, it is no longer possible to stand by and watch!

The recent success of the NGO Open Arms and the maritime corridor, which has opened, require us not to wait any longer.

From this moment, the maritime solidarity operation for Gaza "Solidarity Action Gaza" was launched.

OPEN to all mayors, councilors, municipalities, bodies and organizations who want to contribute to being part of it. A direct humanitarian commitment, in this open form, unprecedented.

We are putting together an autonomous vessel, flying the European flag, with staff ready to bring whatever is necessary on site.

Mainly on a food level, also trying to make hot meals from the boat to the port of Gaze and trying in a second phase to implement medical help.

As an individual you can help by donating, sharing and even becoming a VOLUNTEER

As mayor and/or as a municipality (sponsoring the operation) or as a body/organization you can be part of it, contributing to this historic initiative:

by ratifying your membership,

helping to spread the operation through your channels

and donating freely.

A ship to Gaza all together!

The historic Italian war reporter Claudio Locatelli, already active in multiple solidarity emergencies, was the one who conceived and involved in this operation

The first members include the London-based "Food for All", which will take care of the meals, and the mayor of the Italian municipality of Assisi, together with many other institutional and citizen entities from Europe and beyond.

It's not just help,

it is the demonstration that we must not stand by and watch, that everyone can do their part and that together we can make a difference.

The symbolic place from which the operation is launched is the Palestinian city of BETHLEHEM between the Nativity and the Mosque, because what matters is only HUMANITY

The SHIP will be called "MADIBA" the nickname of Nelson Mandela,

TECHNICAL DATA

The campaign will last from March 18th until August 30th.

The vessel will take care of bringing food supplies and will try to prepare hot meals. If the situation on the ground allows it, a second phase of free medical assistance for Gazans is planned.

Departure is scheduled two weeks after reaching the target, depending on sea conditions.

The operation will be expressly notified to the Italian Foreign Minister, we want our authorities, already involved in a food program, to be informed. As will be notified to other ministries of other states where appropriate, including the South African one (given the name to which the ship is dedicated)

If you want to join, we are ready, time is running out, we need to save as many lives as possible.

"Una NAVE per GAZA"

OPERAZIONE SOLIDALE GAZA 

 Alla luce della drammatica situazione umanitaria nella striscia di GAZA non è più possibile restare a guardare!

 Il recente successo della ONG Open Arms e del corridoio marittimo, che si è aperto, ci impongono di non aspettare oltre.

 Da questo momento, viene lanciata l’operazione marittima solidale per Gaza “Solidarity Action Gaza”.

 APERTA a tutti i sindaci, assessori, comuni, enti ed organizzazioni che vogliano contribuire a farne parte. Un impegno umanitario diretto, in questa forma aperta, senza precedenti.

 Stiamo mettendo insieme un’imbarcazione autonoma, battente bandiera europea con del personale pronto a portare in loco ciò che sarà necessario.

 Principalmente a livello alimentare, cercando anche di realizzare pasti caldi dall’imbarcazione al porto di Gaze e provando in una seconda fase ad implementare l’aiuto medico .

Una nave per Gaza tutti insieme!

 Ad ideare e coinvolgere in questa operazione è lo storico reporter di guerra italiano Claudio Locatelli, già attivo in molteplici emergenze solidali

 Le prime adesioni includono la Londinese “Food for All”, che si occuperà dei pasti, e la sindaca del comune italiano di Assisi, insieme a molte altre realtà istituzionali e cittadine d’Europa e più.

Non è solo aiuto,

è la dimostrazione che non si deve restare a guardare, che ognuno può fare la propria parte e che insieme possiamo fare la differenza. 

Il luogo simbolo, da cui viene lanciata l’operazione, è la città palestinese di BETLEMME tra la Natività e la Moschea, perché quello che conta è solo l’UMANITÀ

DATI TECNICI

 La campagna durerà dal 18 marzo fino al 30 agosto.

 L’imbarcazione si occuperà di portare provviste alimentari e tenterà di realizzare pasti caldi. Qualora la situazione sul campo lo permettesse, è prevista una seconda fase di assistenza medica gratuita per i gazawi.

La partenza è prevista due settimane dopo il raggiungimento della meta, a seconda delle condizioni del mare.

L’operazione sarà espressamente notificata al ministro degli esteri italiano, ci teniamo che le nostre autorità, già impegnate in un programma alimentare, siano informate. Così come verrà notificato ad altri ministeri di altri Stati dove opportuno tra cui è previsto quello sudafricano (visto il nome a cui è dedicata la nave)

 Se volete aderire siamo pronti, il tempo stringe, bisogna salvare più vite possibili.
