La Stampa internazionale non ha accesso autonomo a Gaza, Israele impedisce di verificare e documentare.                                                                                                     

Oltre 200 giornalisti locali, palestinesi, sono stati uccisi nel tentativo di colmare la mancanza d'informazione, sacrificando di fatto la loro vita. Se sappiamo qualcosa è grazie a loro.

Gaza è sotto assedio militare!

Ho deciso di creare e comandare una barca con un capitano, la prima barca indipendente stampa, il VASCELLO PRESS, navigando fino alla Striscia di Gaza, per tentare di rompere anche l'assedio dell'informazione 

Totalmente autofinanziato                                                                                        Composto integralmente da giornalisti, fotografi e videomaker da vari paesi d'Europa 

Seguendo e documentando la straordinaria Global Sumud Flotilla con questa nostra identità forte e necessaria.

La più grande flotta civile e pacifica di barche e persone della storia che tenterà di rompere l'assedio militare. Faremo la nostra parte, INSIEME a voi tutti/e!

Ps. Personale da me a voi 

Se mi seguite sapete che sono molto riservato sulla mia vita privata, di ciò sapete solo ciò che serve collegato agli impegni che porto avanti.                                                    Senza dubbio non ci può essere consapevolezza senza conoscenza, ed è per questo che ho deciso di mettervi al corrente della scelta fatta e del suo peso.                                       Ho anticipato 20.000€ di spese fin'ora, ovvero la metà di tutto quello che possiedo sul conto corrente. 

Lo sto facendo perché credo fortemente che stia a noi, ad ognuno di noi fare il possibile

Ricordate, avevo già provato a metterci insieme per organizzare una barca solidale l'anno scorso, lanciando l'idea proprio da Betlemme, collegata al ponte che gli americani stavano creando a Gaza. Fermai il tutto quando il ponte saltò e la situazione non permise più di continuare in quella direzione. Riuscimmo con i primi soldi raccolti, in silenzio, a tirar fuori una famiglia palestinese da Gaza (ora sana e salva al Cairo) - ve ne parlai da Parigi pochi mesi dopo. 

Questa flotta oggi è un tentativo diverso e doveroso                                                       

 

Le difficoltà di questa impresa sono enormi tanto quanto la ragione per cui intraprenderla 

Fra 50 anni ci chiederanno: dove eravate? Cosa avete fatto mentre era in corso il massacro in Palestina?                                                                                                    Potremmo rispondere sapendo di aver provato ogni cosa, ad ogni costo - ognuno nel suo grande piccolo gesto

The international press does not have independent access to Gaza, Israel prevents it from verifying and documenting.

Over 200 local Palestinian journalists have been killed trying to fill the information gap, effectively sacrificing their lives. If we know anything at all, it's thanks to them.

Gaza is under military siege!

I decided to create and command a boat with a captain, the first independent press boat, the PRESS VESSEL, sailing to the Gaza Strip, to try to break the information siege as well.

Totally self-financed

Composed entirely of journalists, photographers and videomakers from different EU countries 

Following and documenting the extraordinary Global Sumud Flotillawith this strong and necessary identity of ours.

The largest civilian and peaceful fleet of ships and people in history will attempt to break the military siege. We will do our part, TOGETHER with all of you!

P.S. Personally, from me to you

If you follow me, you know I'm very private about my personal life; you only know what's relevant to my commitments. There's no doubt that there can be awareness without knowledge, which is why I've decided to share my decision and its implications with you. I've paid €20,000 in expenses so far, which is half of my entire bank account.

I'm doing this because I firmly believe it's up to us, each of us, to do what we can.

Remember, I had already tried to get us together to organize a solidarity boat last year, launching the idea right from Bethlehem, connected to the bridge the Americans were building in Gaza. I stopped everything when the bridge blew up and the situation no longer allowed us to continue in that direction. With the first funds we raised, quietly, we managed to get a Palestinian family out of Gaza (now safe and sound in Cairo)—I told you about it from Paris a few months later.

This fleet today is a different and necessary endeavor. The difficulties of this undertaking are as enormous as the reason for undertaking it.

In 50 years, they will ask us: where were you? What did you do while the massacre was taking place in Palestine? We could answer knowing that we tried everything, at all costs—each in our own great small gesture.
