Il progetto “ una casa vacanza per un uso di turismo sociale una casa ad uso gratuito per una vacanza speciale”

Il progetto consiste nel recupero di una casa abbandonata e renderla disponibile come casa vacanza per coloro che all’interno della loro famiglia vivono la disabilità con una fragilità economica. La casa è ubicata in centro paese a Belnome (Pc) e si sviluppa su tre piani di cui due ad uso abitativo, è libera sui quattro lati e davanti all’entrata c’è un’aia di proprietà. Il fabbricato ha bisogno di alcuni interventi ed adeguamenti per renderla abitabile. Vorremmo darle una “seconda vita” con un vincolo sociale e non ridurla a macerie. Ci sono famiglie per le quali la vacanza è un semplice sostantivo, noi vorremmo dare a loro la possibilità di rigenerarsi e di vivere una vera vacanza, immersi nella natura e in una quotidianità semplice e solidale. Questo progetto  è nato dopo aver fatto una gita a Belnome, con il nostro bambino speciale, per vedere lo stato della casa. Quella giornata ci ha fatto capire che se lui “autistico” vive questo posto con gioia e serenità, allora… il posto è senz’altro adatto anche per altri bambini, che come lui stanno bene solo in posti speciali.

Chi siamo

Siamo tre over 50 della provincia di Lecco; arriviamo da esperienze di vita e lavorative diverse ma con un unico comune denominatore, “ spendersi per gli altri, soprattutto per i più deboli, per i più indifesi”. Questo modo di approcciare la vita, ha portato uno di noi in ad essere un’operatrice volontaria per sette anni in un orfanotrofio in Africa. Da sei anni dedichiamo il nostro tempo alla crescita di un bambino speciale, un bambino autistico. Una crescita che interessa anche noi sotto tutti i punti di vista, e chi vive quotidianamente questo tipo di esperienza o altre simili, lo sa. E’ un continuo misurarsi, migliorarsi e scoprirsi, un confronto senza sosta. Quest’ultima esperienza è nata per volontà della zia del bambino, che: rispondendo ai servizi sociali ha preso in carico il piccolo con coraggio, dedizione e amore. Abbiamo la fortuna di vivere a contatto con la natura, con le mani nella terra… La natura per il piccolo è di fondamentale importanza è quella che consente a noi adulti di vivere e condividere con lui tanto tempo, assecondare la sua passione, di fare squadra e di essere complici di un progetto che potrebbe diventare una certezza per il suo futuro.

Belnome in Val Boreca

Belnome è un paesino ben tenuto: fiori alle finestre, una fonte di acqua fresca, una balera, un campo di bocce, è ritrovo nei mesi estivi e nei fine settimana degli abitanti rimasti attaccati a questi luoghi, ma residenti altrove per necessità.. Un esempio di comunità, pronta nel “fare”. Non esiste persona che recandosi al negozietto di generi alimentari (che dista dieci chilometri dal paese) per fare la propria spesa, non diffonda la voce per evitare il viaggio ad altri. I bambini giocano liberi e senza pericoli ma sempre sotto l’occhio vigile di tutti gli abitanti. Un luogo ideale per una vacanza senza stress, un luogo dove ci si rigenera anche ridando vita a quei sentimenti diventati sordi per il frastuono quotidiano, un luogo dove l’occhio comune diventa serenità e non curiosità o pregiudizio.

La Val Boreca si trova in provincia di Piacenza, al confine con quattro Regioni, è un’isola tra i monti. L’ambiente è uno dei più incontaminati di tutto l’Appennino. Una terra impervia ma bellissima, piena e ricca di tradizioni. Un ambiente fatto di boschi: querceti misti, castagneti, faggete, impianti di conifere e un ricco sottobosco. La fauna è tipicamente quella appenninica: lupi, cinghiali, lepri, tassi e altri animali. Una valle ricca di sorgenti e corsi d’acqua. Sui crinali sono presenti brughiere e praterie in parte ancora tenute a pascolo, a mezza costa piccoli villaggi sparsi, e tra questi Belnome, che in passato sono stati quasi abbandonati. Oggi i figli ed i nipoti di coloro che dovettero spostarsi sono i nuovi custodi di questi luoghi, quelli che mantengono vive le tradizioni e che si occupano anche della salvaguardia del territorio. La Val Boreca è stata classificata dall’Unione Europea come Sito d’Importanza Comunitaria (Area SIC).

The project "a holiday home for social tourism use a free-use home for a special holiday"

The project consists in the recovery of an abandoned house and making it available as a holiday home for those who experience disability within their family with economic fragility. The house is located in the town center in Belnome (Pc) and is spread over three floors, two of which are for residential use, it is free on all four sides and in front of the entrance there is a farmyard. The building needs some interventions and adjustments to make it habitable. We would like to give it a "second life" with a social bond and not reduce it to rubble. There are families for whom a holiday is a simple noun, we would like to give them the opportunity to regenerate and experience a real holiday, immersed in nature and in a simple and supportive everyday life. This project was born after taking a trip to Belnome, with our special child, to see the state of the house. That day made us understand that if he "autistic" lives this place with joy and serenity, then... the place is certainly also suitable for other children, who, like him, only feel comfortable in special places.

Who we are

We are three over 50s from the province of Lecco; we come from different life and work experiences but with a single common denominator, "spending ourselves for others, especially for the weakest, for the most defenceless". This way of approaching life led one of us to be a volunteer worker for seven years in an orphanage in Africa. For six years we have been dedicating our time to raising a special child, an autistic child. A growth that also affects us from all points of view, and those who experience this type of experience or similar ones on a daily basis know it. It is a continuous measuring, improving and discovering oneself, a non-stop comparison. This last experience was born from the will of the child's aunt, who: responding to social services, took charge of the child with courage, dedication and love. We are lucky enough to live in contact with nature, with our hands in the earth... Nature is of fundamental importance for the little one, it is the one that allows us adults to live and share a lot of time with him, to indulge his passion, to team up and to be accomplices in a project that could become a certainty for his future

Belnome in Val Boreca

Belnome is a well-kept village: flowers in the windows, a source of fresh water, a dance hall, a bowling green, it is a meeting place in the summer months and on weekends for the inhabitants who have remained attached to these places, but who live elsewhere out of necessity. example of community, ready to "do". There is no person who goes to the grocery store (which is ten kilometers from the village) to do their shopping, does not spread the word to avoid the trip to others. Children play freely and without danger but always under the watchful eye of all the inhabitants. An ideal place for a stress-free holiday, a place where you can regenerate yourself even by reviving those feelings that have become deaf due to the daily noise, a place where the common eye becomes serenity and not curiosity or prejudice.

Val Boreca is located in the province of Piacenza, on the border with four regions, it is an island in the mountains. The environment is one of the most pristine in the whole Apennines. An impervious but beautiful land, full and rich in traditions. An environment made up of woods: mixed oak woods, chestnut woods, beech woods, coniferous plants and a rich undergrowth. The fauna is typically the Apennine one: wolves, wild boars, hares, badgers and other animals. A valley full of springs and streams. On the ridges there are heaths and prairies in part still kept as pastures, halfway up the slopes scattered small villages, and among these Belnome, which in the past were almost abandoned. Today the children and grandchildren of those who had to move are the new guardians of these places, those who keep the traditions alive and who are also involved in safeguarding the territory. Val Boreca has been classified by the European Union as a Site of Community Importance (SIC Area).
